CRC was founded way back in 1996 by the Kids Sim Racing Organisation (KSR for short), and it started life on the Microprose simulator "Grand Prix 2." Back then CRC was no way the series it is today, they didn't even race online, the drivers just did a race and submitted their race time to come up with the race result. In 2001, CRC changed to using the sequel of GP2, "Grand Prix 3" where the races were run in a similar format. CRC would use GP3 for 2 years until in 2003, online racing was incorporated in CRC for the first ever time as CRC would go on to use EA's simulator "F1 Challenge 99-02". CRC would use it for 4 incredible years of close racing and fabulous championship battles. In 2007, CRC took another step forward as they changed to the popular "rFactor." CRC would use this simulator for 8 years, with some incredible races and championship battles. In 2015, after years of deliberation, CRC finally made the switch to rFactor 2 and that is the simulator that is being used to this day.

A driver will be able to continue in CRC for as long as they like unless they are in a sabbatical when they turn 19 or they take a 5 year sabbatical after they are 18. The sim CRC uses is rFactor and there will hopefully be a game change soon when CRC will use ISI's upcoming simulator, rFactor 2.

What Is CRC?

Childcar Racing is an F1-based racing series for kids aged 4-18 that was started in 1996 but if a driver is a current driver and they turn 19, they will be able to continue in CRC.
